20% is the same as the decimal .20 20% literally means 20/100. In order to solve the problem you must take 50 students times the decimal .20 which gives you 10 for the answer

50 students on the fist day and you multiply that by .20 to find how much is 20 percent of 50. You take that number which is 10 and subtract it from 50 so 50-10=40 which is how many showed up the second day
Just Math
50*0.2=10
50-10=40 students

If a soccer ball hits a net with a force of 12 N, the net exerts a force of ____ back on the soccer ball. 0 N 6 N 12 N 24 N
svetlana [45]

Answer:

12 N

Explanation:

The concept of this question is based on Newton's third law

This law states that:

"For every action there is a reaction that is equal in magnitude but opposite in direction"

The equation representing this law is:

F₁₂ = -F₂₁

Now, for the given problem:

We have that the ball exerted a force of 12 N on the net

Applying the above law, the net would exert a force of equal magnitude and opposite direction to that of the ball

Therefore, the net will exert a force of 12 N on the ball

Hope this helps :)

The number of unbroken charcoal briquets in a 20-pound bag filled at the factory follows a normal distribution with a mean of 45
sesenic [268]
The interval of filled bags is at confidence interval of 95%.

At 95% confidence interval, Z=1.96 (from Z tables).

But,
Z= (x-mean)/sd => 1.96 = (x-450)/20 => x (upper limit)= 20*1.96+450489 bags

Lower limit or minimum number bags to avoid replace= 450-1.96*20 =411 bags
