Answer:

37.76 minutes (Approximately)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: It takes a hose 5 minutes to fill a rectangular aquarium 11 inches long, 13 inches wide, and 14 inches tall.

To find: Time taken to fill an aquarium measuring 21 inches by 24 inches by 30 inches.

Solution: We know that volume of a rectangular prism is l\times b\times h

So, volume of rectangular aquarium measuring 11 inches long, 13 inches wide, and 14 inches tall is 11\times13\times14=2002 cubic inches.

It is given that the hose take 5 minutes to fill the aquarium.

So, we can say that 2002 cubic inches is filled in 5 minutes.

Therefore, in 1 minute \frac{2002}{5}=400.40 cubic inches is filled.

Now, volume of the aquarium measuring 21 inches by 24 inches by 30 inches is 21\times24\times30=15120 cubic inches.

So, time taken to fill 15120 cubic inches

=\frac{15120}{400.40}

=37.76 minutes (Approximately)

Volume of 1st aquarium = 11 * 13 * 14 = 2002
volume of 2nd aquarium = 21 * 14 * 30 = 8820

if 5 minutes = 2002
1 minute = 2002\5 = 400.4

minutes to fill the 2nd aquarium is 8820/400.4 = 22.028(approximately)

Step-by-step explanation:

1 hour = 4 bracelets

4.5 hours = ?

4.5 hours/× 4 bracelets

_______

1 hour/

4.5×4 bracelets = 18 bracelets

In an hour Jessica makes four bracelets and in 4.5hours she makes how many bracelets ,we don't know , obviously in 4.5hours she would make more so if more less will divide.

so 4.5hours over 1hour times 4 bracelets. so hour will cancel hour and now 4.5 times 4 bracelets is equal to 18 bracelets

One kind of hard candy sells for $.89 per kilogram another sells for $1.10 per kilogram how many kilograms of each kind a need t
Furkat [3]

Answer:

20kg of $0.89 candy

10kg of $1.10 candy

Step-by-step explanation:

Candy 1 = 0.89 per kg

Candy 2 = 1.10 per kg

Total kilogram, kg = 30

Let candy 1 = x ; candy 2 = (30 - x) ;

0.89x + 1.10(30 - x) = 0.96(30)

0.89x + 33 - 1.10x = 28.8

0.89x - 1.10x = 28.8 - 33

-0.21x = - 4.2

x = 4.2 / 0.21

x = 20

20kg of $0.89 candy

(30 - x) = (30 - 20) = 10kg

10kg of $1.10 candy
