Answer:

A) They became more rigid as fear of slave resistance grew

This statement was true about slave codes.

Explanation:

Over the years in the American history, slaves were deprived from every human rights and were even treated as a property rather than an actual person. This discrimination was common back in the days when only white people had the privilege to live properly. However, slaves did not accept that fate quietly but started to rebel in many ways against their owners.

With the constant fear from American colonies about the slave rebellions, and their anxiety paranoia rising, thinking that their salves would eventually turn against them they set several laws called Slaves Codes.

These codes restricted the way slaves were living to the point that they were not allowed to gather without the presence of at least a white person amongst them, and they are not to stay away from the owner’s property without permission, and they are not to be taught lo read or write, and many more.

MrRa [10]
The Americans started to look more down on the Indians because of their primitive ways and just the basic fact that they were different than the colonists. back then they usually didn't have a valid reason to hate them but found any excuse to do so.

The Fourteenth Amendment is passed, preventing state governments from denying citizens due process of law. (D)

Further Explanations:

Fourteenth Amendment act implemented in 1868 in the United States’ Constitution, grants civil constitutional rights and citizenship to African Americans and slaves liberated after the “Civil War”. The Amendment was acknowledged on 9th July 1868, as the significant measures after Reconstruction. Out of all acts implemented, it confirmed the civil liberty, Due process law, and assurance of the legislation to the citizens. Due process was adopted from the Magna Carta of England during the diversion of the American and Britain Law.

Due processes are the legal requirement and legal rights of an individual that balances the power “Law of the land” and protects citizens from it. It is frequently inferred as limiting the laws and legal actions so as to assure fundamental equality, liberty, and Justice from the legislator and Judges.
