The Great Gatsby in present times is known to be Fitzgerald’s Magnum Opus. When this novel was released, during the first few years of its release, It hardly gained any popularity and only 20,000 copies were sold in its first year. <u>The writer of this novel, F. Scott Fitzgerald died in the year 1940 believing that no one will appreciate his work of the Great Gatsby and his work would be forgotten but this novel experienced a new revival during world war 2 and also went on to become part of America’s high school curriculum.  </u>
