Women occupied a high place in Iroquois society. They were revered for their wisdom and had
important roles in society. A clan
mother can choose the chief of their tribe and have the power to remove
them. They can also vote to form or
remove a council even they did not run them.
They also worked together with men which showed how high their status
was in society.
Religion was less practiced, and humanism was formed. It formed into a more secular culture. This means that people were more focused on worldy things than God or religion.
