In "My Name," the line "My name is the Mexican records my father plays on Sunday
Lelechka [254]

The correct answer is Metaphor

Explanation:

In the line presented, the author Sandra Cisneros is comparing her name to the Mexican records her father listens; this is likely because her name has an important Mexican influence. Moreover, in terms of figurative or literary devices, this is known as a metaphor because the author is trying to explain the meaning of her name through a comparison between the name and the records. Also, this is not a simile because there is not an explicit word for comparison such as "like", or personification because there are not objects, places, etc. that had been given human traits.

Identify the subordinate clause within the sentence below. Allison and Andy want to travel to India someday once they saved enou
Contact [7]

The subordinate clause is a part of a sentence that depends of the main part, and works whithin it as an adjective, an adverb or a noun.

In the sentence:Allison and Andy want to travel to India someday once they saved enough money for the trip.

The nucleus of the sentence will be allison and andy want to travel to india someday and the advervial subordinate clause within the sentence will be "once they saved enough money for the trip".

This way we see how the second part of the sentence by itself has not too much sence but once the two parts make one sentence we see the full sense and meaninf in the sentence

Is it to late now to say sorry?
kondaur [170]

You gotta go and get angry at all of my honesty
You know I try but I don't do too well with apologies
I hope I don't run out of time, could someone call a referee?
Cause I just need one more shot at forgiveness
I know you know that I made those mistakes maybe once or twice
By once or twice I mean maybe a couple a hundred times
So let me, oh let me redeem, oh redeem, oh myself tonight
Cause I just need one more shot at second chances

Yeah, is it too late now to say sorry?
Cause I'm missing more than just your body
Is it too late now to say sorry?
Yeah I know that I let you down
Is it too late to say I'm sorry now?

I'm sorry, yeah
Sorry, yeah
Sorry
Yeah I know that I let you down
Is it too late to say I'm sorry now?

I'll take every single piece of the blame if you want me to
But you know that there is no innocent one in this game for two
I'll go, I'll go and then you go, you go out and spill the truth
Can we both say the words and forget this?

Is it too late now to say sorry?
Cause I'm missing more than just your body
Is it too late now to say sorry?
Yeah I know that I let you down
Is it too late to say I'm sorry now?

I'm not just trying to get you back on me
Cause I'm missing more than just your body
Is it too late now to say sorry?
Yeah I know that I let you down
Is it too late to say I'm sorry now?

I'm sorry, yeah
Sorry, oh
Sorry
Yeah I know that I let you down
Is it too late to say I'm sorry now?
I'm sorry, yeah
Sorry, oh
Sorry
Yeah I know that I let you down
Is it too late to say I'm sorry now?
