disorder in which there is repeated series of binge eating followed by compensatory
behaviours such as purging to eliminate excess calories in the body. Excessive
use of laxatives, forced vomiting, and exercising are the methods of purging
used in bulimia nervosa. An individual with bulimia nervosa often give prominence to their body weight
or shape.
