You need to found common factor of 64 and 100
\frac{64}{100}= \frac{4*16}{4*25}= \frac{16}{25}

First, find the greatest common factor, or the biggest number that goes into both 64 and 100.
The GCF of 64 and 100 is 4
64 ÷ 4 = 16
100 ÷ 4 = 25
The reduced fraction is 16/25
Because there is no other number that goes into both 16 and 25, this is the most reduced you can get it.
Therefore, 64/100 is reduced to
16/25

Use the graph to find the factorization of x2 - 5x + 4.
Oksanka [162]

Answer: B. (x - 1) (x - 4)

Concept:

Here, we need to know the idea of zeros.

The zeros of a quadratic equation are the points where the graph of the quadratic equation crosses the x-axis.

If you are still confused, please refer to the attachment below for a graphical explanation.

Solve:

By definition, the factored form of quadratic equations is basically their zeros.

STEP ONE: Find the zeros / x-intercept of the graph

The grid number is 2 per grid as 5 grids are 10 units.

The first intercept is between the y-axis and the first grid.

 • 2 / 2 = 1

The second intercept is on the second grid.

 • 2 × 2 = 4

STEP TWO: Plug the zeros into factorization form

Factor form = (x - x₁) (x - x₂)

x₁ = (1, 0)

x₂ = (4, 0)

Factorization of x² - 5x + 4 = (x - 1) (x - 4)

Hope this helps!! :)

Identify which technique would be best applied to factor the polynomial below. x^2-25 A. difference of two squares B. grouping C
kodGreya [7K]
Since x² and 25 are the squares of x and 5 respectively, the best technique is A. difference of two squares.

x^2-25=x^2-5^2=(x-5)(x+5)
