Read William Shakespeare’s Sonnet 18. Note that it is divided into three quatrains followed by a concluding couplet. Which two s

ignals indicate the start of the third quatrain in line nine? Shall I compare thee to a summer's day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate: Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, And summer's lease hath all too short a date: Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines, And often is his gold complexion dimm'd, And every fair from fair sometime declines, By chance, or nature's changing course untrimm'd: But thy eternal summer shall not fade, Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st, Nor shall death brag thou wander'st in his shade, When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st, So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see, So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

The ninth line of the sonnet brings in a major change of tone. Shakespeare jumps on elaborating the immortality of his lover rather than continuing the criticism of the sun.  Moreover, the limitations of nature are replaced by his lover’s thoughts and he claims that his darling is not bounded by the rules that are being displayed.

In line-4, the summer is stated as ”eternal summer”, since it keeps returning every year. And noticing from the previous personifications employed in the sonnet, we can easily recognize the similarity between “summer’s day” and “thee”. Both can be eternal or can fade with time. This is the major reason why the author takes a turn on line-9, as both of them have only one threat-time; and the third force that can eternalize them both is the poetry that the author has created.

To conclude, we can easily notice the turn in topic and breaking of the stanza.

aliina [53]

Answer:i hope this answer could be useful

Explanation:The author of the diary. Anne was born on June 12, 1929, in Frankfurt, Germany, and was four years old when her father moved to Holland to find a better place for the family to live. She is very intelligent and perceptive, and she wants to become a writer. Anne grows from an innocent, tempestuous, precocious, and somewhat petty teenage girl to an empathetic and sensitive thinker at age fifteen. Anne dies of typhus in the concentration camp at Bergen-Belsen in late February or early March of 1945.

Read an in-depth analysis of Anne Frank.

Margot Frank

Anne’s older sister. Margot was born in Frankfurt in 1926. She receives little attention in Anne’s diary, and Anne does not provide a real sense of Margot’s character. Anne thinks that Margot is pretty, smart, emotional, and everyone’s favorite. However, Anne and Margot do not form a close bond, and Margot mainly appears in the diary when she is the cause of jealousy or anger. She dies of typhus in the concentration camp a few days before Anne does.

Discuss weather king uses valid reasoning when he states that "injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere". What evide
Murrr4er [49]

In his "Letter from Birmingham Jail," King argues that "injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." The evidence he employs is that of racially discriminatory laws in the South. King argues that the existence of unjust laws such as segregation represent an injustice. And this unjustice is an obstacle for achieving equality and justice everywhere in the country. For example, if white people do not believe in segregation, this nonetheless means that they have to abide by the law, causing injustice. The appeal that he uses is logos, as he encourages us to think of the logic of the arguments put forward by lawmakers.
