1)The SPEED of an object tells us how fast this object is moving, bit it doesn't indicate the direction of :
Speed = distance/time

2) The VELOVITY of an object tells us how fast this object is moving and in which direction it's moving ( If UP, then it's positive. If DOWN, then it's negative. Same logic for moving right (+) or left (opposite to right, then -)
Velocity = distance/time

In short te absolute value of Velocity = Value of speed:

| Velocity | = Speed

Simplify the expression. Write the answer using scientific notation. (9 x 10)^2(2 x 10)^10
Valentin [98]

Answer:

B

Step-by-step explanation:

To multiply scientific notation, multiply each part of the number.

(9 x 10)^2(2 x 10)^10 = (9*2) * (10^ 2 + 10) = 18 * 10 ^ 12

Since scientific notation can only have a digit in the ones place from 1-9. 18*10^12 becomes 1.8*10^13.

The solution is B.

Combined, Natalie and Ellie sold 90 boxes of Girl Scout cookies. If Natalie sold one-third of this, find the ratio of the boxes
Murrr4er [49]
They sold a total of 90 boxes

Natalie sold 1/3 of this......1/3 * 90 = 90/3 = 30....so Natalie sold 30.
that leaves (90 - 30) = 60.....Ellie sold 60

ratio of Natalie to Ellie is : 30/60 which reduces to 1/2.
so the ratio is : 1/2 or 1:2 or 1 to 2 <==

The base of the prism is a 3:4:5 right triangle.
One of the legs is its base and the other is its height. (The longest side is the hypotenuse!)

The area of the triangular base is bh/2 = (9)(12) / 2. There are two of these.
There are also three rectangular sides on the prism.
Their dimensions are 9 by 20, 12 by 20, and 15 by 20.

You can do the arithmetic from here.
And the answer is 828cm ^2
