Explain how clause 39 of the Magna Carta was influential to the American Revolution.
RoseWind [281]
The main way in which clause 39 of the Magna Carta was influential to the American Revolution was that it prohibits people from being arrested or punished without due process of the law, which inspired the Founding Fathers, who were adamant about ensuring personal freedom. The main way in which Clause 39 of the Magna Carta was influential to the American Revolution was that it places limits on the power of the king, especially with regard to the King's ability to arrest people--meaning that the Founding Fathers drew on this as inspiration to show that they too had power.

Which city served as the base for British operations for most of the war?
Crank

Answer:

  New York.

Explanation:

The British Army was considered the most well-trained army in the world. By the time the Revolutionary War began the army was a volunteer force due to ineffective policies of recruitment in the decade after the Seven Years War. To offset that, the British government hired German mercenaries.

The British Army used different strategies but finally failed to suppress the rebellion. They used New York as operations base because of its splendid seaport, central location, and the support of loyalist in there.

They took control of New York after the Battle of Long Island in which the Americans forces were defeated.
