Considering the cost of war and what was gained, do you think the United States was right to fight in Korea?

Even though the main purpose of that war were to fight comunist aggresion and refrain the comunism to take over the world, it was more damaging than beneficial. The first precedent of this war was the tragedy of Vietnam. It was a war that never ended because it was not officialy done even though the shooting has stopped.
