The iroquois, yoruba, igbo, bini people were similar to the earlier agricultural civilizations in the agricultural techniques they used. They adopted maize and bean-farming techniques from Mesoamerica.

The main similarities between the Chavin people and the Incas are in the religion, polytheistic with resemblance of gods and rituals. In addition, economic models resemble each other, such as the use of maize as an important "exchange currency". The structure of government is also the same, since they both operated in a theocracy.
