A football quarterback has 2 more chances to throw a touchdown before his team is forced to punt the ball. He misses the receiver on the first throw 30% of the time. When his first throw is incomplete, he misses the receiver on the second throw 10% of the time. What is the probability of not throwing the ball to a receiver on either throw?

Basically 30 percent becomes p=.3 and 10 percent becomes p=.1
So if given two probabilities you can find the probability of both occurring by multiplying them so .3 x .1 = .03
So the probability of both occurring is 0.3

I hope it's right (:

There are 2 faces 7 x 5

2*(5*7)=2*35=70ft^2

There 2 faces 5 x 5

2*(5*5)=2*25=50ft^2

there are 3 faces 5 x 12

4*(5*12)=4*60=240ft^2

There are 2 faces 7 x 7

2*(7*7)=2*49=98ft^2

Now only we have to sum all of them together

98+240+50+70=458ft^2
