The correct answer is A) public goods.

Producers would most likely not provide public goods, because everyone can use them, even those who do not pay. So governments provide these items instead.

The economy of the United States is based on Capitalism and the free market. People work very hard to get rich. If you want something, you pay for it. It is a business, not a beneficial institution. Businessmen produce their products and services to make an income and want their companies to be profitable. They consider that it is the government who has to provide public services for free or for a cheap price. That is why the government has designed programs to help the poor and the one in need throughout American history.

Answer:

The temperance movement is a social movement against the consumption of alcoholic beverages. Participants in the movement typically criticize alcohol intoxication or promote complete abstinence from alcohol (teetotalism), and its leaders emphasize alcohol's negative effects on people's health, personalities and family lives. Typically the movement promotes alcohol education and it also demands the passage of new laws against the sale of alcohol, either regulations on the availability of alcohol, or the complete prohibition of it. They thought it would help so people wouldn't be drunk and stuff like that.
