Answer:

Military and political leader Napoleon Bonaparte, age 51, died May 5, 1821, in Saint Helena. Napoleon was born August 15, 1769, on the island of Corsica near France. He attended military schools and began his career in the French military in 1785.

Napoleon was one of the most effective rulers of France. After the French Revolution, France was in terrible shape. Napoleon took advantage of this situation and gained control of the country. He introduced many effective reforms. He stabilized France’s economy by creating a national bank. He strengthened the education system by introducing lycées, which were free government schools for boys. He reconstructed the legal system by creating the Napoleonic Code. His laws aimed to establish equality for all male citizens. Napoleon also succeeded in expanding his empire in Europe through the Napoleonic Wars. His military dominance of Europe angered other European countries, which joined forces to successfully dethrone him. They stripped Napoleon of power and exiled him to Saint Helena in 1815. He died due to deteriorating health issues.

Napoleon lived the life of a courageous and brilliant warrior. His reforms were popular in most of Europe. He will always be remembered for his efforts to make France a powerful nation.

Why did people move to medieval cities and towns?
Luden [163]
<span>The so-called Dark Ages were a giant economic Depression which lasted 300 years - and the only way you could survive was out scratching any kind of food out of the soil. But by Medieval times, things were more organized, and people could afford to live in town. There were various jobs - each person no longer had to do everything needed for survival. People could share the things they made and still live.

During his election, _________ did not receive enough votes from the Electoral College.
Strike441 [17]
Okay, the other answer is wrong. The Electoral College's votes are what decide if you can be president or not. So people who actually became president (like Lincoln) did recieve enough votes from the Electoral College. However, during his own election, Al Gore didn't get enough votes from the Electoral College in the Presidential Election in 2000. That's why he lost the election, even though his popular vote was higher.
Hope this helps!
