First, get rid of the paranthesis:
4-x-2<-3x-12 => 2-x<-3x-12
next, eliminate x on one side. here I'll eliminate -3x by adding 3x on both side:
2+2x<-12
2x<-14
x<-7

If the price index is 200, how much did a $12 pizza (today) cost in the base year? question 9 options:
elena-s [515]
We know that
<span>the Consumer Price Index (CPI) is equals to
</span>CPI=100*[cost of the pizza today/cost of the pizza <span>in the base year]
[</span>cost of the pizza in the base year]=100*[cost of the pizza today/CPI]
cost of the pizza today=$12
<span>CPI=200
so
</span>[cost of the pizza in the base year]=100*[12/200]-----> $6
<span>
the answer is
</span>The cost of the pizza in the base year is $6<span>

Find the coordinates of point S that lies along the directed line segment from R(-14, -1) to T(4, -13) and partitions the segmen
horsena [70]
Check the picture below.

I'd like to point out, is 1:5 from R to T, since that matters, that way we know the ratio from RS is the 1 and the ratio ST is the 5.

\bf \left. \qquad  \right.\textit{internal division of a line segment}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;R(-14,-1)\qquad T(4,-13)\qquad \qquad 1:5&#10;\\\\\\&#10;\cfrac{RS}{ST} = \cfrac{1}{5}\implies \cfrac{R}{T} = \cfrac{1}{5}\implies 5R=1T&#10;\implies &#10;5(-14,-1)=1(4,-13)\\\\&#10;-------------------------------\\\\

\bf { S=\left(\cfrac{\textit{sum of "x" values}}{\textit{sum of ratios}}\quad ,\quad \cfrac{\textit{sum of "y" values}}{\textit{sum of ratios}}\right)}\\\\&#10;-------------------------------\\\\&#10;S=\left(\cfrac{(5\cdot -14)+(1\cdot 4)}{1+5}\quad ,\quad \cfrac{(5\cdot -1)+(1\cdot -13)}{1+5}\right)

Please help me with this
Alex17521 [72]
Answer: 3
Step by step explanation: If there are 60 kids and 25% of them went to Floridia, then 1/4 of them went to Floridia, which is 15 (Bc 60/4=15). If 20% of them went to NY, then that’s 1/5 if the the kids, which is 12 (Bc 60/5=12). Finally, you just subtract 15 from 12 and get 3. Hope that helps!

A regular polygon has n sides.
Usimov [2.4K]

The number of pairs of parallel sides of the polygon have no parallel sides if n is odd and n/2 pair of parallel sides if n is even.

<h3>What is a polygon?</h3>

The polygon is a 2D geometry that has a finite number of sides. And all the sides of the polygon are straight lines connected to each other side by side.

A regular polygon has n sides.

Then the number of pairs of parallel sides of the polygon will be

IF n is odd, then none of the sides are parallel.

If n is even, then the number of pair of parallel sides will be n / 2.

More about the polygon link is given below.
