First off the answer to the problem is 3x^7 Multiply 3 3 by −7<span> - </span>7<span> to get −21 - 21 . Move all terms containing </span>x x<span> to the left side of the equation. Since 3</span>x<span> 3 ⁢ </span>x<span> contains the variable to </span>solve<span> for, move it to the left side of the equation by subtracting 3</span>x<span> 3 ⁢ </span>x<span> from both sides. Subtract 3</span>x<span> 3 ⁢ </span>x<span> from 3</span>x<span> 3 ⁢ </span>x<span>to get 0 0
hope it helped =)</span>

(ab)/(cd)=(a/c)(b/d)
and
(x^m)/(x^n)=x^(m-n)

so
(57x^5)/(19x^2)=(57/19)(x^5/x^2)=(3)(x^5-2)=3x^3

excluded values are the factors factored out

57/19=(19*3)/(19)
excluded value is 19

for
(x^5)/(x^2)=(x^2*x^3)/(x^2)
excluded value is x^3

so

excluded values are 19 and x^3

What is the value of n in the equation 1/2(n – 4) – 3 = 3 – (2n + 3)?
ozzi
(1/2)(n - 4) - 3 = 3 - (2n + 3
Distribute the (1/2) on the left and the -1 on the right.
(1/2)n - 2 - 3 = 3 - 2n - 3
Combine like terms.
(1/2)n - 5 = -2n
Add 2n to both sides and add 5 to both sides
2.5n = 5
Divide both sides by 2.5
n = 2

The first four terms of an arithmetic sequence are 28, 20, 12, and 4. which term of the sequence is -36
Charra [1.4K]
For an arithmetic sequence, the nth term is the first term plus (n-1)×the differece
the first term is 28, the difference between each adjacent number is 8
so -36=(28)+8(n-1)
8(n-1)=64
n-1=8
n=9
the 9th term is -36

Therefore the sides will be proportional,

  • \dfrac{n}{9}  =  \dfrac{4}{12}

  • n =  \dfrac{1}{3}  \times 9

  • n = 3 \:  \: units

<u>Figure - 2</u> :

Let the missing side as " m "

The Triangles are similar, therefore their sides will be proportional.

  • \dfrac{m}{8}  =  \dfrac{9}{6}

  • m =  \dfrac{3}{2}  \times 8

  • m = 3 \times 4

  • m = 12 \:  \: units
