The correct answers are:

B: The Pacific Ocean was far wider than Magellan had anticipated;

C: The expedition crossed three major oceans - the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian.

Fernando Magellan was a Portuguese sailor with great navigational skills. He was sponsored for his expedition by the Spanish, but they were wary of him, so didn't allowed him to have dominantly Portuguese crew, but instead mixed up with crew from multiple nations.

The trip around the globe was successful, but there were lots of casualties, including Magellan himself. Just one ship out of the five returned, and only 18 man out of the 237 survived. This trip went through the Atlantic, than the Pacific which turned out to be much bigger than expected, and the Indian Ocean. The expedition managed to go through multiple storms, and also had few battles, in which lot of the crew died.

How does tom's presence affect the atmosphere of the party?
joja [24]
<span>Tom's presence makes the party's atmosphere awkward.

Tom is a character in a novel gatsby, he is a solid, straw-haired man of thirty with a somewhat hard mouth and a supercilious way. Two sparkling, haughty eyes had set up strength over his face, and gave him the presence of continually inclining forcefully forward-you could see an incredible pack of muscle moving when his shoulder moved under his thin coat.

identify the social and political forces that shaped Europe between 1000 and 1300 CE. Evaluate the roles of manorialism, feudali
ad-work [718]

Answer: The Crusades contributed most to shaping Europe in the broader context.

Explanation:

All the elements have contributed more or less to the development of the European continent, its society, and culture. Feudalism, as a social relation in Europe, had a wealthy tradition on the European continent, and as a social pattern through which social order functioned played a crucial role. Feudalism had a foothold with the rulers, and as such, it was the political relation on which economic ties on the continent were based. Manorialism  is very close to Feudalism.

Its core values rest on the autonomously functioning European states of the time, where hierarchical relations were regulated. Universities, science was generally in the domain of ecclesiastical believers. Therefore the formation of Europe in this sphere belonged to the church. The teachings and teachings propagated by the church as such were extremely limited but common to most countries. The Crusades contributed most to shaping Europe in all spheres. There were also unique representatives of the spiritual and secular government, as well as ordinary people. The crusades cemented the fact that Europe was a Christian continent, and at that time, culture formed precisely on this pattern, Catholicism.
