I don't really know how to explain this but I know my answer is correct.

The smallest angle is 16
The medium size angle is 32
The largest angle is 132

If we let S, M, and L be variables, we can make the following equations
S = 1/2 M
M = 2 S
L = 8 S + 4
L + M + S = 180

If you plug in 16 for S, everything falls into place

Median 32
Small 16
Large 132
132+32+16=180
m + m/2 + 8(m/2)+4=180
m+m/2+4m+4=180
5.5m+4=180
5.5m=176
m=32
OR s+2s+8s+4=180 11s=176 s=16

Find the equation of the straight line which passes through the point (-1,3) and make intercept on x - axis as thrice that on y
Triss [41]

Answer:

y = -\frac{1}{3}x + \frac{8}{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

(x_1,y_1) = (-1,3)

Intercept\ on\ x-axis = Intercept\ on\ y-axis.

Required

Determine the equation

First, we calculate the intercepts using:

\frac{x}{a} + \frac{y}{b} = 1

Where

b = Intercept on y axis.

a = Intercept on x axis.

From the question:

a = 3b

The equation becomes:

\frac{x}{3b} + \frac{y}{b} = 1

Multiply through by 3b

x + 3y  = 3b

We have: (x_1,y_1) = (-1,3)

So:

-1 + 3 * 3 = 3b

8 = 3b

Make b the subject

b = \frac{8}{3}

Substitute b = \frac{8}{3} in x + 3y  = 3b to get the equation

x + 3y = 3 * \frac{8}{3}

x + 3y = 8

Make 3y the subject

3y = -x + 8

Make y the subject

y = -\frac{1}{3}x + \frac{8}{3}

The graph of y=x^2 is shown below. which of the following could be the graph of y=x^2-3
Xelga [282]
<h2>The graph is given below.</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to find graph of y = x² - 3

At x = 0 we have

       y = 0² - 3 = -3

So (0,-3) is a point on the graph.

When y = 0

      0 = x² - 3

       x = 1.732 and -1.732

So, (1.732,0) and (-1.732,0) are the points on the curve.

All these points are satisfied by the graph given below.
