Ok so you would find the area of all of the shapes and then add it together. to find the area of the square you would multiply 8 by 8 to get 64. Then you would go on to finding the area of the four triangles which can be found by multiplying the base times the height to get 48. after you do this you would divide 48 by two to get 24 which is your area for the triangles. since there are four triangles you would multiply 24 by 4 to get 96. Finally to get the surface area you add 96 with 64 to get your surface area which is 160 in^2

Find csc0 and cos0 , where 0 is the angle shown in the figure. Give exact values, not decimal approximations.
solniwko [45]

Answer:

csc(θ) =  1.1662

cos(θ)  = 0.5145

Step-by-step explanation:

I attach the image of your question in the picture below

We know the values of the adjacent and opposite cathetus

tan(θ) = Opposite / Adjacent

tan(θ) = 5/3 = 1.666

θ = tan^-1 (5/3)

θ = 59.0362 °

Now that we have the angle, we can easily find the value of the expressions needed

csc(θ) = 1 / sin(θ)  = 1/ (0.85749) = 1.1662

cos(θ)  = 0.5145
