In literature, the story refers to the set of events and characters that are described and included during a literary or narrative work such as a short-stories or novels. Additionally, these characters and events are usually linked to the main conflict which is a struggle between the main character or characters and an opposing force. Indeed, the conflict is the focus on most stories as events in literary works are organized depending on the way a conflict emerges, later is faced by character and is finally solved and therefore this element is the one that propels a story forward as the interaction of characters with the conflict leads to the development of a story.
