Sun Yat-sen's Four Point Plan was based on the Three Principles of the People which were nationalism, democracy, and socialism.

<u>The Three Principles of the People was the ideological basis of Sun Yat-sen's political program</u>. Sun Yat-sen was the provisional first president of China from January 1, 1912 to March 10, 1912 . Moreover, he was best known as "the Father of the Nation". <u>He developed the Three Principles of the People</u> in order to achieve his main aim:<u> to make China a free and powerful nation</u>. These three principles were Mínzú (nationalism), Mínquán (democracy) and Mínshēng (the People's welfare, which is linked to socialism).
