For the first one it would be 12 for 9.00 for your 120 pen question you would times until it gets to 120 which is 12 times 10 = 120 then you would do 10 times 9 = 90.00$ then you do the same for 10 for 7.80 10 times 12= 120 then you do 12 times 7.80 = 93.60 so you would save 3.60$ more on 12 for 9.00$ than 10 for 7.80$

Answer:

The admixture of words and math symbols must be rewritten to allow processing towards a correct answer.

Step-by-step explanation:

Use brackets [ ] and up carrot symbol (^, obtained by pushing the shift key at same time as 6 key) to rewrite the question. The order of operations called GEMA (Grouping, Exponents, Multiplication and Division from left to right and then Addition and Subtraction from left to right) can only be done once the symbols are placed to match the textbook question. Math is a language and its symbols must be used in place of words to assure the correct result.

Riley rakes 1/6 of a lawn in 2/3 hour. How many lawns can Riley rake per hour?
Butoxors [25]

Answer:

Riley rakes 1/4 of the lawns per hour.

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that,

Riley rakes 1/6 of a lawn in 2/3 hour.

We need to find how many lawns can Riley rake per hour.

In 2/3 hour Riley rakes 1/6 of a lawn

In 1 hour Riley rakes \dfrac{1}{6}\times \dfrac{3}{2}=0.25 = 1/4 of a lawn.

Hence, Riley rakes 1/4 of the lawns per hour.
