During the class discussion about Ralph Waldo Emerson, Shayla says, I don't
Elenna [48]

Hi. You have not informed the text to which these questions refer, which makes it impossible for this question to be answered. However, I will try to help you as best I can.

If we look at the context of Shayla's actions, we can consider that she acts like this because she is bored. We can see that Shayla is leaning over in her chair and claims that she would like to change the channel if she was watching TV. This shows that she is bored with the discussion about Ralph Waldo Emerson. This boredom could be the result of her disinterest in Ralph Waldo Emerson, or the lack of content in the discussion.

Tems11 [23]
Participle Phrases may come after the words they modify or they may be placed at the beginning of a sentence. A dependent clause that modifies a noun or a pronoun is called an adjective clause. Adjective clauses are introduced by words called relatives. Who,whom, which, and that are relative pronouns.

. Where are we when the novel starts?
irga5000 [103]
I believe it to be the prologue. Usually in the prologue there’s an outline of the backstory, or there is the hook of the story that gets you into reading it and questioning what’s going to happen next? That’s what keeps you going and interested.

Hope this helps!
