What are the steps for using a compass and straightedge to construct a regular hexagon inscribed in a circle?

All right so first you’re going to start by making a circle with your compass where the radius of the circle is your desired side length. Then you move the point of your compass to a point on your circle (make sure you keep your compass on the same setting) and make a mark where the pencil in the compass intersects with the circle. Move the point of your compass to the intersection you just made and do the step before again. Repeat the intersection step until you have six marks around your circle (it’s okay if your final mark isn’t exactly on the original compass hole, as long as they’re pretty close together). Now all you have to do is connect your 6 marks with the ones next to them on the circle with your straightedge and you should have a hexagon! I hope this wasn’t too confusing!

Area of each triangle: 1/2 of 12*5=30
area of two triangles: 30+30=60
