It could be a proportion
24:36=42:x
make into fractions
24/36=42/x
2/3=42/x
multiply both sides by 3x
2x=126
divid oth sides by 2
x=63

the other number is 63

24:36=42:63

Hello There Awesome User!

The answer could be 54.

As you can see the relationship between 24 and 36 is 12. You find this out by subtracting 36-24=12. Where as you could add 42 to 12 which equals to 54. So, the answer is 54.

Answer:

AM = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

On each median the distance from the vertex to the centroid is twice as long as the distance from the centroid to the midpoint, that is

AM = \frac{1}{3} × 12 = 4

Arrange the pairs of points in increasing order of the slopes of the lines joining them. (15, 30) and (20, 40)
gavmur [86]

Answer: m1 = 0.5

M2= 0.375

M3 = 2.25

M4 = 3.0

M5 = 13.5

M6 = 0.285

M7 = 7.0

Step-by-step explanation:

(20,40)-(15,30)=(5,10), m1=5/10=0.5

(18,48)-(12,32)=(6,16), m2=3/8=0.375

(72,32)-(27,12)=(45,20), m3=9/4=2.25

(60,20)-(45,15)=(15,5), m4=3.0

(243,18)-(27,2)=(216,16), m5=27/2=13.5

(24,84)-(18,63)=(6,21), m6=2/7=0.285...

(84,12)-(63,9)=(21,3), m7=7.0

Find the measure of an angle between 0º and 360º coterminal with an angle of –110º in standard position
kondor19780726 [428]
<h2>Answer:</h2>

An angle measures how how much you have to rotate one line called <em>initial side</em> so it lies on the top of other line called the <em>terminal side. </em>Angles whose vertex is located at the origin having the initial side on the positive x-axis is said to be in standard position. On the other hand, coterminal angles are angles in standard position having the same terminal side. In this way, for the angle:

-110^{\circ} \\ \\ Its \ coterminal \ is: \\ \\ \alpha=360^{\circ}-110^{\circ}=\boxed{250^{\circ}}

Solve for x in both!!!!!
zvonat [6]

Answer:

- 2(x - 2) - 4x = 3(x + 1) - 9x \\  - 2x + 4 - 4x = 3x + 3 - 9x \\ 9x - 3x - 2x - 4x = 3 - 4 \\ 9x - 9x =  - 1 \\ 0x =  - 1 \\ 0 =  - 1

So ; No solution

___o___o____

5(x + 2) - 3 = 3x - 8x + 7 \\ 5x + 10 - 3 =  - 5x + 7 \\ 5x + 7 =  - 5x + 7 \\ 5x + 5x = 7 - 7 \\ 10x = 0 \\  \\ x =  \frac{0}{10}  \\  \\ x = 0

I hope I helped you^_^
