How did geography play role in the battles of Lexington and concord
serg [7]

Answer:

After the British arrived in Boston, they set out on a course toward Concord, Massachusetts, to capture rebel leaders Samuel Adams and John Hancock and destroy the colonists' supply of weapons and ammunition. Their first stop was in Lexington, where the battle on April 19, 1775, started the war. Geography helped the colonists gain an advantage over the British and built confidence in their fighting ability.

How did the united states assert itself as an independent nation
devlian [24]
The Revolutionary War with Britain after British colonists were already in the US, sent by the British. Basically, they were being taxed on stuff like Molasses and Tea. They didn't want taxation from a country in which they had no representation in government. This was the reason for the Boston Tea Party. Then of course they formed their own independent country once they were free from Britain.

Congress may not suspend __________ unless a national crisis requires it.
notsponge [240]
Congress may not suspend "habeas corpus" unless a national crisis requires it, since this is one of the most fundamental human rights that the Founding Fathers wanted to protect. It has very rarely been suspended, with one of the most notable times taking place under Lincoln in the Civil War.
