For the second question answer -10 and -4
The second one factor two numbers that add to 14 and when you multiply the numbers you get 40. Are 10 and 4
(X+10)(X+4)
X+10=0
Subtract 10 on both sides
X=-10. Answer
X+4=0 subtract 4
X=-4
3rd question X= 2 and X= -9

Two numbers that add to -7 and multiply to -18 are -2+9=-7. -2 times 9=-18
(X-2)(X+9)=0
X-2=0 X= 2. X+9=0 X=-9

The area of a rectangle is 5/8 square foot . The width of the rectangle is 2 1/2 feet What is the length of the rectangle
Karo-lina-s [1.5K]
Area = length * width

length = area/width

length = (5/8) / (2 1/2) =

= (5/8) / (5/2) = 5/8 * 2/5 = 10/40 = 1/4

How can a graph help you determine an exponential model is appropriate for a data set? Explain
I am Lyosha [343]

The graph of the data set will help you to understand if the data is displayed in the form of an exponential model. Example: if the data (when graphed) is similar in shape and growth to that of the graph of f(x)=e^x, then it could be deemed helpful.

Please help algebra. quadratic formulas <br> Please specify question number in your answer.......
Stels [109]

answer:

here is your answer hope you will enjoy and mark me as brainlist

thank you

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of a trapezoid =

height * ( sum of base lengths) / 2

So...let the height = h

One base = h + 3

And the other is h + 5

So...we have this

375 = h [ (h + 3 + h + 5 ] / 2 multiply both sides by 2

750 = h [ 2h + 8 ]

750 = 2h^2 + 8h rearrange as

2h^2 + 8h - 750 = 0

Using the quadratic formula....we get the answer ≈ 17.468 = 17.5 yards (rounded)

"b" is correct

For the quadratic equation

ax2+bx+c=0

the formula for the roots is

x=−b±√b2−4

ac2a(1)

Identify the values for

a,b,&cx2+4x+3=0

cmp

ax2+bx+c=0a=1b=4c=3(2)

Substitute these numbers into eh formula

x=−4±√42−(4×1×3)2×1(3)

Carefully proceed and do the calculations

x=−4±√16−122x=−4±√42x=−4±22

now calculate the two separate solutions

x1=−4+22=−22=−1x2=−4−22=−62=−3
