A Congressmen or Congresswomen can introduce "House Bills".
The House bill passes for many Committees that review it, making a report of the bill; then it is sent to the Speaker of the House who will decide if the bill must go for vote. The bill goes under voting, while the legislation is under voting is called House bill, first it is voted by the House of Representatives and later by the Senate, both chambers must vote. Then the bill is sent to the President who will sign the bill into law or vetoed it, the bill signed is then called law or statute or act.
