Carbon is considered as the 6th most abundant element present in the universe. It is present almost everywhere. It is present in the air, in the form of carbon dioxide, it is present in the atmosphere. It is found in all the living organisms, plants and animals. Soil also contains this majorly found element, <u>BUT the most of the earth's carbon is found under the oceans in the form of rocks.</u> Marine rocks contain the most of the carbon than it is present anywhere in any from.
