Jacob: 7 t-shirts for $32.90. $32.90/7= $4.70 per shirt
Kyle: 12 t-shirts for $60.00. $60.00/12= $5.00 per shirt
Kyle paid MORE per shirt than Jacob. Kyle is not correct

Brenden: 8 t-shirts at the same price as Jacob, Jacob paid $4.70 per shirt.
Brenden: 8x4.70=37.60  Brenden paid $37.60 for 8 t-shirts

Solve the system of equations by elimintion express the solution as and order paired
tester [92]
First convert the first equation to combine like terms. Then set your equations up as an addition problem. You want at least one of your variables (y) to be of opposite values so the will cancel out to leave you with just one variable (x). Plug in 1/3 for the x into one of the equations to solve for y. Then write as an ordered pair.

A rate is common.

Lets find something that isn't constant.

Perhaps they run for 1 hour and get 1 mile done, and the other hour, they run 1.3 miles in 1 hour.
