History

Since farming allowed people to stay in one area instead of travelling where they could find food, they were able to start building more permanent houses. Then, as families grew to accommodate the extra hands they needed, people were able to make and do other things as hobbies or other work. The importance of the things they did, such as working the fields, raising children, merchants, etc. created a hierarchy within the villages and towns. There were always at least one leader in nomadic groups, but as more people were in a group, chaos emerged between the people. One leader wasn't enough. That was how more governing bodies began to make decisions together.

Niagra movement 1905
USPshnik [31]
The Niagara Movement was a civil-rights group founded in 1905 near Niagara Falls. Scholar and activist W. E. B. Du Bois gathered with supporters on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls to form an organization dedicated to social and political change for African Americans. Its list of demands included an end to segregation and discrimination in unions, the courts, and public accommodations, as well as equality of economic and educational opportunity. Although the Niagara Movement had little impact on legislative action, its ideals led to the formation of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) in 1909.
