In animal cells mitochondrians are unique organelles in that they contain a genome of their own. There are small circular chromosones in each mitchchondria for some of the mitchodria protiens. But the mitochondria chromosones do not have genes for the all the protiens in the found in the mitchondria. The genes from the remaning protiens are found in in the cellular genome which is found in the nucleus. This is how they function together (don't mind my spelling of some words english isn't the best for me lol)

Humans have twenty-three pairs of chromosomes and chimps have twenty-four pairs of chromosomes. what is the most likely explanat
Sedbober [7]
It is true that human has 23 chromosomes, in contrast to chimps who have 24 chromosomes, and lack any pair resembling the long human chromosome 2 pair and instead chimps have two pairs of medium sized chromosome, This would be explained by the fact that the common ancestor of both humans and chimpanzees had 24 chromosomes, however at some point in the human lineage, two chromosomes fused end to end, providing some selective advantage and thus humans ended up having 23 chromosomes instead of 23.

Fed [463]

Answer:

Life may exist in extreme conditions

Explanation:

The conditions in other planets do not normally resemble those on Earth. They are commonly much hotter or colder and are filled with toxic gases or liquids. It would be easy to think that life could not exist in those inhospitable places, but when we see how life on our own planet has adapted to the harshest enironments we have to think again and consider that life could exist in those extreme planets.
