The answer is (2,4).
from left to right the points are X. and are put first.  point B is above 2.
from up and down the points are Y. and are put second. Point B is next to 4.

The answer is C because you start at the x axis and if you go 2 over the B is on top and then when you go up, you have to go up 4 spaces to reach point B

If y varies directly as x, and y is 18 when x is 5, which expression can be used to find the value of y when x is 11?
Leokris [45]

Answer: The value of y is 39.6 when x = 11 and the required expression is y(11) = 39.6

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

y varies directly as x.

If y = 18, when x = 5.

So, we need to find the value of y when x is 11.

According to question, we get that

\dfrac{y}{x}=\dfrac{18}{5}=\dfrac{y}{11}\\\\18\times 11=5y\\\\198=5y\\\\\dfrac{198}{5}=y\\\\y=39.6

Hence, the value of y is 39.6 when x = 11 and the required expression is y(11) = 39.6

What about 6 8 and 19? What triangle is that( all inches )
stiks02 [169]
That would be a scalene triangle, because all three sides are different measurements. Equilateral means all 3 sides are equal and isocelese means that 2 sides are equal. Therefore it would have to be scalene

What is the solution set to the following system?<br> X+y=4<br> X^2+y^2=16
faltersainse [42]
X+y = 4,  -----> y=4 - x
x² +(4-x)² =16
x² +16-2*4x+x² =16
 2x² - 8x = 0
x(2x-8) = 0
2x-4=0, 2x=8, x=4
x=0 or x=4

If x=0, y=4-x=4-0=4.
If x=4, y= 4-x=4-4=0.

(0,4) or (4,0)

Check
x² +y² =16
For (0,4)
0²+4² =16
16 =16    True

For (4,0)
4² +0²=16
16=16  True

Answer (0, 4) and (4,0).
