In this lesson, we discussed the environmental challenges that the United States and Canada face. Both countries are seeking solutions to issues such as pollution and resource conservation. As a government leader, which issue would you focus on most? Choose one of the issues discussed in this lesson, and write a short paragraph explaining the steps you would take to solve that issue in the United States.

As a government leader I would focus on deforesting because that is a major environmental factor contributing to global warming and other world problems.  I would first take steps to stop deforesting and the take action to replant the forests. As a result of this more trees will produce oxygen that can help regulate the oxygen in the air compared to the CO2. The next thing I would focus on is pollution from cars.
