Best Answer: After Lenin`s death in 1924, Joseph Stalin won a bitter power struggle against Trotsky. Trotsky advocated worldwide revolution, but Stalin`s aim to build socialism in one country appealed to Russian pride. Stalin created a ruthless totalitarian state. He pushed the country into rapid industrialization and forcibly collectivized agriculture at the expense of living standards. His ruthless `Russification ` program resulted in millions of Russians being deported to labor camps. Thousands of Soviet citizens died in his `blood purges of the 1930's.
Trotsky`s policy of permanent revolution led to dismissal from the Politburo by Stalin in 1926 and eventual exile from Russia in 1929. He moved to Mexico in 1937 where he was assassinated in 1940.
The theories of Communism advocated by Trotsky argued for the permanent worldwide revolution of the proletariat

jake pushes a heavy box across a carpeted floor.Name three forces that act on the box, and explain how you know these are unbale
Maurinko [17]

Answer:

The forces acting on the heavy box pushed across the carpeted floor are:

- Gravitational force: this force acts on any object with mass, and it always acts downwards (towards the Earth's centre). its magnitude is

W=mg

where m is the mass of the box and g is the acceleration due to gravity.

- Normal force: this is the reaction force exerted by the floor on the box, N, and it acts upward, in the direction opposite to gravity. This force perfectly balances the force of gravity along the vertical direction.

- Applied force: this is the force due to the push applied by Jake, F. It acts horizontally in the forward direction.

- Force of friction: this is a resistive force that acts in the opposite direction to the motion of the box, F_f, and it is due to the contact between the microbumps present on the surface of the box and of the floor.

While the forces along the vertical direction are balanced, the forces along the horizontal direction are not, since the applied force is larger than the frictional force:

F>F_f

This means that the net force along the horizontal direction is non-zero:

F_{net}=F-F_f > 0

And according to Newton's second law of motion, this also means that the box has a non-zero acceleration along the horizontal direction:

F_{net}=ma \rightarrow a=\frac{F_{net}}{m}>0

Which action showed that pres roosevelt didn’t always rely on military force in foreign policy
Keith_Richards [23]

A prime example of President Roosevelt not always relying on military force was how he signed the Treaty of Portsmouth. The Treaty of Portsmouth essentially ended the Russo-Japanese War. The Japanese is known for winning this war, but after it ended Japan and Russia did not get along, so President Roosevelt took it into his own hands and decided to create the Treaty of Portsmouth, which made numerous negotiations between the two in order for them to get along. It was officially signed on September 5, 1905, and ended up making Theodore Roosevelt win a Nobel Peace Prize for his kindness in helping the two nations get along again.
