Answer:

to go back in those days where her ancestors lived through memories.

Explanation:

In the poem "New Orleans", the word 'memory' first appears in line 19. The poet connects the readers through the word 'memory' in her poem by letting the readers know about her longingness to meet her ancestors and tribe who once lived in Mississippi.

The poet mentions about the memories of her people by saying that it runs down in her blood. She tells that all heroic stories of her ancestors and creeks were made of memories.

The possible theme about memory that the poet wants to connect would be by letting the readers know that she longs to go back in those days where her ancestors lived and which would be only through memories.

Why does equiano blame the illness abroad the ship on the improvement advice of the traders?
sashaice [31]

Answer:

Because the factor behind the illness was caused by the greed and thoughtlessness of the traders.

Explanation:

In his narrative book, "The Life of Olaudah Equiano" Equiano tells of his life in slavery.

When Equiano was boarded on the ship, he saw the poor conditions of the ship. The traders on the slave ships were 'improvident avarice'; all they thought about was their profits. The illness abroad the ships were caused due to small spaces, suffocating atmosphere, unbearable smell, and lack of food. The traders, to get more pay for slaves, would overload their ships with slaves in the small space, they were thoughtless about the living conditions of the salves and did not provide them food. But for Equiano, the traders were harming their ability by keeping slaves in unhealthy conditions. Because of this unhealthy conditions on the ships, slaves either died of illness or took their own lives.
