in the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson made a case for independence from Great Britain by applying ideas from Enlightenment. Tell which ideas in the Declaration of Independence were inspired by the Enlightenment and explain what those ideas meant to Jefferson.

Most of Jefferson's ideas were <u>heavily made by John Locke</u> because one of it on the Declaration of Independence (or D.O.I) said, that people have certain rights just because they are people.  These rights are not given to them by the government and cannot be taken away from them.

The enlightenment's were the separation of powers, balance and check, and the last one I dont know sorry. These enlightenment's inspire a representative government. These enlightenment's inspire Jefferson to make the Declaration of Independence.
