Auditory‐motor adaptation is reduced in adults who stutter but not in children who stutter

Answer – True

Evidence from studies has shown that the adaptation magnitude of adults who stutter in response to auditory perturbation is significantly smaller than the adaptation magnitude of adults who do not stutter but contrarily, the magnitude of the speech adaptive response for children who stutter did not differ from that of fluent children. This implies that auditory-motor integration deficit is gradually developed in stutterers as the years go by.

topjm [15]

Answer:The impact bias

Explanation:

The impact bias refers to how we tend to overestimate how a particular situation will make us feel in the future and overestimate the period it will take these feeling to last. When we face a traumatic situation we feel like it would never end and it would take us forever to recover , which is usually an exaggeration of what will actual happen.

Sandra would probably recover sooner than she thought if she isn't elected as president but the impact bias is making her feel like it would take forever.

The principal of an elementary has taken away all recesses. the children in this school have begun to act out quite a bit, espec
Ymorist [56]
Recesses, especially for the elementary students, are to time for them to take breaks and eat their snacks to make them last within a certain duration without having to deal with empty stomachs. During the late afternoon, the duration from lunch was already very long. This would make students go hungry and further, out of focus.

The challenging behavior would strongly suggest the principal to bring back the recesses. If not all then, maybe only that on the afternoon.
