Try using P.E.M.D.A.S,it will make the problem much easier:(make sure you do each step in order.)
P:Parenthesis,solve the equation in the parenthesis first.
E:Exponants,solve the exponants,if they're are none,you can skip this step.
M:Multiplication,Multiply any numbers that need to be multiplied.
D:Division,divide,if there is nothing to divide,you may skip this step.
A:Addition,add and solve for a sum.
S:Subtraction,subtract any numbers that need to be subtracdted.
If this did not help or seemed confusing,i strongly suggest you look it up on the internet or ask your teacher about P.E.M.D.A.S,it makes problems much easier to solve. :)
