The dependent value is determine by the value of the independent value. in other words, the dependent value is what you get when you take the independent value and substitute it in the original equation or situation. The relationship is multiplicative because you must first multiply the independent value in the equation where the x is before you can add or subtract to get your answer.<span />

Wesly is 5 feet 3 inches tall. If one inch equals 2.54 centimeters, what is wesly's height in centimeters
dangina [55]

Answer:

152.4 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Wesly is 5 feet and 3 inches tall. Since there are 12 inches in one foot, 5 feet has 60 inches. This means Wesly is 63 inches tall. If one inch is 2.54 cm then 60(2.54) is Wesly's height in centimeters. 60(2.54) = 152.4

In this exercise, consider a particle moving on a circular path of radius b described by r(t) = b cos(ωt)i + b sin(ωt)j, where ω
Bingel [31]

Answer:

Acceleration of the particle = bw^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the position vector of a particle moving in a circle of radius b units.

r(t) = b cos(ωt)i + b sin(ωt)j

Velocity , v =\frac{dr}{dt} = -bω sin(ωt)i + bω cos(ωt)j

The magnitude of velocity, v =\sqrt{v_x^{2} +v_y^{2} }

Squaring both sides,

v^{2} = b^{2} w^{2}(sin^{2}(wt)+cos^{2}(wt))

Since sin^{2}(wt)+cos^{2}(wt)) = 1

v^{2} = b^{2}w^{2}

The acceleration towards the centre is called the centripetal acceleration and is given by

a = \frac{v^{2} }{r}

a = \frac{b^{2}w^{2}}{b}

a = bw^{2}
