Answer:

Explanation:

Problem One

C cannot be so. It admitted that Canada and Great Britain had unlocked and utilized nuclear power.

D is false. He was very concerned about Eastern Europe and how they tell under Communist influence.

B is false, or at least I don't remember reading it.

A is true. He truly did want that.

E is true I think. He could wish for nothing else.

Problem Two.

Captured when? Is this talking about the cold war or during WW2?

I can only guess. Since the first question is about the cold war, I will assume this one is too.

1/2 of Poland and Finland went to Russia during the war. After the war, I think Finland became independent.

Czechoslovakia during the war fell to Germany. After the war it gained its independence and became democratic. It was still under Russia's thumb.

North and western France: Germany. The communists and the socialists had a great deal to say about how France was to be governed after the war.

The Soviet Union was never conquered by anyone in modern times. It was occupied by Germany during the war.

Latvia: Germany during the war. I'm not sure about after. I leave you to look it up.

Albania: Italy at first. Then Germany. After the war it gained independence.

It looks like you need to know when this took place. I can't give you one answer without knowing that.
