How does H.T Johnson use sarcasm in his poem " The Black Mans Burden"?

English

boyakko [2]3 years ago

Johnson uses sarcasm in this poem as he expresses the opposite of what he means. When he says "pile on the Black Man's Burden", and gives examples of how people can make black men more miserable than they already are ("his wail with laughter drown"), he is using sarcasm. He clearly does not want people to pile on this burden and make black men's lives harder, but he is saying that people should do it to show them how ridiculous it sounds and to point out that people are already doing that.

Flamin' Hot Cheetos are one of the most popular snacks

among students today, but do you know the history of these

tasty chips?

Hot Cheetos were created by a janitor, Richard Montanez,

who had been working in the Frito-Lay plant in California

since 1976.

One day, a machine at the factory malfunctioned and some Cheetos were not dusted with the famous orange powder.

Richard took those Cheetos home and topped them with chili powder. Soon afterwards, he pitched his idea for a spícier  version of Cheetos to company executives.

His idea was accepted, and he is now in charge of the

Frito-Lay Hispanic marketing team.

Can I find a compare and contrast Essay between Red panda and the giant panda?
krok68 [10]

Answer:

The giant panda is closely related to bears, especially polar bears, while red pandas are more closely related to ferrets. But both species share a common trait—they eat only bamboo (despite being classified as carnivores) and both have developed a false thumb to help them do so.

Red pandas have dark patches under their eyes and long tails. Instead of black patches over the eyes like giant pandas have, many red pandas have white patches.

Hope this helps, have a great day/night, stay safe, happy thanksgiving!
