Answer: \text{Length of AG=}\frac{2\sqrt{63}}{3}

Explanation:

Please follow the diagram in attachment.

As we know median from vertex C to hypotenuse is CM

\therefore CM=\frac{1}{2}AB

We are given length of CG=4

Median divide by centroid 2:1

CG:GM=2:1

Where, CG=4

\therefore GM=2 ft

Length of CM=4+2= 6 ft

\therefore CM=\frac{1}{2}AB\Rightarrow AB=12

In \triangle ABC, \angle C=90^0

Using trigonometry ratio identities

AC=AB\sin 30^0\Rightarrow AC=6 ft

BC=AB\cos 30^0\Rightarrow BC=6\sqrt{3} ft

CN=\frac{1}{2}BC\Rightarrow CN=3\sqrt{3} ft

In \triangle CAN, \angle C=90^0

Using pythagoreous theorem

AN=\sqrt{6^2+(3\sqrt{3})^2\Rightarrow \sqrt{63}

Length of AG=2/3 AN

\text{Length of AG=}\frac{2\sqrt{63}}{3} ft

Describe the probability of rolling a die and landing an even number while tossing a coin and landing on heads.
Dahasolnce [82]

Answer:

1/12

Step-by-step explanation:

When you flip a coin there are two possible outcomes (heads or tails) and when you roll a die there are six outcomes(1 to 6). Putting these together means you have a total of 2×6=12 outcomes.

an artist painted a 6 foot tall painting, then decide to also create a smaller version. if she uses a scale of 4 inches=1.5 feet
Nina [5.8K]
Let
x----------------- > <span>the height of the smaller painting
y-----------------> </span>the height of the tall painting-----------> 6 ft<span>

the scale factor is-------------- > x/y
(x/y)=(4 in)/(1.5 ft)
x=y*[</span>(4 in)/(1.5 ft)]-------> 6*(4 in)/(1.5 ft)=16 in
<span>
the answer is x=16 in

Write an equation of the line in slope-intercept form that passes through the point (-6, 1) and has a slope of ½.
snow_tiger [21]

Answer:

  y = 1/2x +4

Step-by-step explanation:

You are given the slope (m) of the line and a point, and asked for slope-intercept form:

  y = mx +b . . . . . . . line with slope m and y-intercept b

The value of the intercept, b, can be found from the point by rearranging this equation to ...

  b = y -mx

  b = 1 -1/2(-6) = 4 . . . . using x=-6, y=1

Then the equation of the line with m=1/2 and b=4 is ...

  y = 1/2x +4
