Answer with explanation:

The Meaning of term Rotational Symmetry is , when a geometrical shape is rotated by an Angle , the Original Pre-image and Image appear Congruent.

For example, when you rotate a Square through a complete revolution that is through an angle of 360°, it appears congruent to it's Original Preimage four times , that is each time when it is rotated by angle of 90°.

So,Order of rotational Symmetry = 4

For a line segment , end points are important while considering Rotational Symmetry.

⇒⇒⇒For a Geometrical Shape, having 1 or infinite order of symmetry

1. End Point is not a Figure that is not a geometrical shape.

2. Point of Symmetry is a Figure because we can call a point a geometrical shape.And in the context of Rotational Symmetry the term is often used.

3. Midpoint is also a Figure because we can call a point a geometrical shape but in context of rotational symmetry the term mid point does not come into consideration.

4.Point of congruence is also a Figure because we can call a point a geometrical shape but from the point of view of rotational symmetry, the term Point of congruence does not make any sense.

Option B →Point of symmetry

 is a figure rotated about in rotational symmetry.

If 45 + 47 = t, then t = 45 + 47.....correct

if 45 + 47 < t , then t = 45 + 47....incorrect

45 + 47 < t
92 < t .....this is saying that t is greater then 92

t = 45 + 47
t = 92...this is saying t is equal to 92 (not greater)

Two sides of an acute triangle measure 5 inches and 8 inches. The length of the longest side is unknown.
nordsb [41]

The greatest whole possible whole number length of the unknown side is 9 inches

Solution:

Two sides of an acute triangle measure 5 inches and 8 inches

The length of the longest side is unknown

We have to find the length of unknown side

The longest side of any triangle is a hypotenuse

For a acute triangle we know:

If c is the longest side of a acute triangle, a and b are other two sides of a acute triangle then the condition that relates these three sides are given as:

c^2

Here in this sum,

a = 5 inches

b = 8 inches

c = ?

Substituting we get,

c^2< 5^2+8^2\\\\c^2 < 25 + 64\\\\c^2 < 89\\\\c < 9.4

On rounding to nearest whole number,

c < 9

Hence, to the greatest whole possible whole number length of the unknown side is 9 inches

2. In the diagram below, secants PT and PU have been drawn from exterior point P such that the four arcs
scoundrel [369]

Answer:

(a) x = 30°

(b) mRS = 30°

mST = 120°

mTU = 120°

mUR = 90°

Step-by-step explanation:

(a) In the picture attached, the diagram is shown.

Given that m arc RS = x, from the ratios:

m arc ST = 4x

m arc TU = 4x

m arc UR = 3x

The addition of the four arcs must be equal to 360°, then:

x + 4x + 4x + 3x = 360°

12x = 360°

x = 360°/12 = 30°

(b) m arc RS = x = 30°

m arc ST = 4x = 4*30° = 120°

m arc TU = 4x = 4*30° = 120°

m arc UR = 3x = 3*30° = 90°

Lyrx [107]
Answer: Cylinder 1 - 25.1327412283 cubic cm
Cylinder 2 - 100.5309469149 cubic cm
Cylinder 3 - 226.1946710585 cubic cm

For each of the cylinders, we will need to use the same formula, h(pi(r squared)).

Cylinder 1 - 8(pi(1 squared)). 1 squared = 1. pi × 1 = 3.1415926536. 3.1415926536 × 8 = 25.1327412283 cubic cm.

Cylinder 2 - 8(pi(2 squared)). 2 squared = 4. 4 × pi = 12.5663706144. 12.5663706144 × 8 = 100.5309469149 cubic cm.

Cylinder 3 - 8(pi(3 squared)). 3 squared = 9. 9 × pi = 28.2743338823. 28.2743338823 × 8 = 226.1946710585 cubic cm.

- Hope it helps!
