Eric Foner believed that freedom is an effective theme to focus on in the study of American history because of what happened in the past during the American civil war the nation faced many controversial issues such as slavery. Because one of the problems of this American period was slavery. Furthermore, over three million African-Americans were slaves in the South and this means that they worked for other people but had no freedom and received no money for their work.

Kellan wants to shop at express for the new school year, but because all of his friends shop at pacific sun, kellan does as well
Leokris [45]

Kellan's behavior is an example of "conformity".

Conformity is a kind of social impact including an adjustment in conviction or conduct so as to fit in with a gathering.

This change is in light of real (including the physical nearness of others) or imagined (including the weight of social standards/desires) group pressure.

Conformity can likewise be essentially characterized as “yielding to group pressures”. Group pressure may take distinctive structures, for instance tormenting, influence, prodding, feedback, and so forth. Conformity is otherwise called dominant majority influence (or group pressure).
