A correct answer is:

I agree that archetypes are specific to each culture, and the same object may have a very different symbolic meaning from culture to culture. In one culture an archetype may be a hero, while in another culture the archetype may be treated as a villain. It depends on the culture of the place.

An archetype can be characterized differently. It can be a statement or prototype, which other statements copy or emulate. According to many literary critics, archetypes have a standard depiction in a particular human culture that creates the base for the literary work. We can see from the definition that if there is an archetype in the context it means that the concept is going to be based on that. It cannot have different symbolic meanings.

____ [38]

Answer:

D - In Caldwells novel, her protagonist, Lucille, overcomes many obstacles to achieve her goal.

Explanation:

A Bildungsroman is about the growth of the protagonist both morally and psychologically. It's about the passage from young to adult, through learning and experiencing emotions, personal situations, a loss, etc. There isn't a particular style or content. For example, Disney movies or classic hero tales are an example of this. The main character experiences traumatic or hard situations to a point in which they need to step up and end up growing, learning values, etc.

The correct answer is himself. Jason bought himself a ticket to the game tomorrow. The antecedent of the pronoun "himself" is "Jason". "Himself" is called a reflexive pronoun. Reflexive pronouns are used to refer back to the subject of the sentence to avoid repetition. These pronouns usually ends in -self or -selves.
