MY STORY:

BASEBALL MY FAVORITE SPORT

Baseball is a sport in which skill is combined with physical abilities and athleticism. Baseball is my favorite sport because it is fun and a good form of exercise. Most of the players see it as an amazing sport even though some might just do it as a hobby. Sometimes adults and even kids play baseball to get some sort of relief from the stress we are exposed to on our daily life. Baseball is a great form of getting into shape and also enjoying fresh air and even socializing as it is a team sport.

Baseball is a sport for everyone, if you cannot play you can sit on the bleachers and watch the game. To me and others watching a baseball game is very entertaining. I love not just watching but playing it as well. Participating in a sport such as baseball can be so amazing, seeing your team’s efforts, your team’s victories and even your team’s losses is a great feeling knowing it was all done together as one. Baseball is sometimes called the “National Pastime” of the United States. As online research confirms Baseball is considered a big part of the United States history and culture, it has been around for a long time. Baseball rules can be confusing sometimes but once you get the hang of it, you can see the grace and beauty in each and every game.

Baseball to me is overall an amazing sport. I feel like baseball promotes many good things like team work, and also the understanding of winning and losing. Baseball is not just a sport it’s a passion, a hobby and a great form of entertainment. I and many others believe Baseball is a great sport. Baseball is a sport that will continue growing and getting better with time. Baseball will always remain my favorite sport as I share the love for this game as many Americans do.

It seems a bit messy so it might be good to organized your ideas. The main idea you need to develop is why baseball is your favourite sport.
Introduction: you can talk about baseball in general providing relevant information about this sport.
"(in my opinion ) b<span>aseball is a great form of getting into shape and also enjoying fresh air and even socializing as it is a team sport". This might be your thesis statement. so in the following paragraphs you are going to develop and expand each of this characteristics.
paragraph 1. get into shape. describe/ provide information/ explain why?
paragraph 2: fresh air
paragraph 3: socializing.
Conclusion: remember that in the conclusion you should not provide new information, this is just an enumeration of what you stated. So you might say "in conclusion/to conclude, Baseball is my favourite sport because ...." and you state again all the ideas already mentioned. </span><span />

schepotkina [342]

Answer:

OD. Heartbreak.

Explanation:

Miss Havisham is one of the major characters in Charles Dickens' novel "Great Expectations". She plasy a pivotal role in the progression of the plot and also acts as a means through which Pip learns about life.

In Chapter XXII, Herbert Pocket told Pip that Estella "<em>has been brought up by Miss Havisham to wreak revenge on all the male sex</em>." This is due to the fact that her guardian Miss Havisham had been jilted by Compeyson on what was supposed to be their wedding day. Holding a grudge on all men, she hates and have a sense of repulsion for every male human. This, according to Herbert, is the main cause for her eccentric behavior.

Read the passage from When Birds Get Flu by John DiConsiglio. Dr. Dowell says that we need to be prepared for a pandemic. He thi
Wittaler [7]

This question is missing the options. I've found the complete question online. It is the following:

Dr. Dowell says that we need to be prepared for a pandemic. He thinks every nation should have an emergency  plan. More medications like Tamiflu should be available. He thinks rich countries like the U.S. should help poor  countries pay for medicine and health care.

Why does the author most likely include this information at the end of the text instead of at the beginning?

A. because it draws a conclusion based on the evidence presented throughout the text

B. because it offers new evidence that is meant to help readers better understand the text

C. because it poses new questions for readers to think about now that they have read the text

D. because it offers supplemental information that readers can compare to evidence presented in the text

Answer:

The author includes this information at the end of the text:

A. because it draws a conclusion based on the evidence presented throughout the text .

Explanation:

After discussing and presenting evidence throughout the text, author John DiConsiglio is now ready to conclude it. What he presents at the end cannot be new evidence or supplemental information, for that would not be a conclusion at all. He is also not presenting questions - he is making statements. Those statements are based on the information presented previously, supported by it. What the author wants now is to show how important that information was and how we can use it to be prepared for future cases of the disease.
