The piece which can be split apart during a reaction catalyzed by an enzyme is SUBSTRATE.
Many components are involved in enzyme-catalyzed reactions, these include the enzyme, the substrate, energy barrier and the products formed. The substrate is the chemical compound upon which the enzyme acts. The action of the enzyme on the substrate can be divided into two, it is either the enzyme bring two substrates together or the enzyme can split one substrate into two, depending on the type of reaction that is involved. The splitting or the addition of the substrate usually occur at the active site of the enzyme.

The offspring between 2 black mice show the ratio of 3 black mice to 1 white mouse...
Mkey [24]

Answer: A) Black trait is dominant

B) The genotypes of the parents must be Bb

Explanation: Let B represent the allele for black colour and b represent the allele for white colour. If the offspring between 2 black mice show the ratio of 3 black mice to 1 white mouse, it then means that the two parents are heterozygous for black colour, that is each of them have one allele for black colour (B) and one allele for white colour (b). They both have a genotype of Bb.

Bb x Bb = BB, Bb, Bb, and bb.

This means 1BB : 2Bb : 1bb

BB is black, Bb is black while bb is white which gives a ratio of 3 black mice to one white mouse. For Bb to manifest as black, it means that B is dominant to b.

Dr. Haxton told one of his students, "To move in the bloodstream, fats need the help of phospholipids." What would a good studen
GarryVolchara [31]

Answer:

C. Yes. Nonpolar molecules aren't compatible with water.

Explanation:

Blood has the liquid plasma, a watery medium. Fats are nonpolar and can not enter the bloodstream as such. The long-chain fatty acids and monoglycerides enter the absorptive cells of the small intestine and form the triglycerides again.

These triglycerides are packed into chylomicrons by making aggregates with phospholipids and cholesterol and become covered with proteins. These packed fats enter the bloodstream in the form of chylomicrons.
